This past week, I was especially busy, and I’ve been trying to find creative ways to wake up my face. You will fool everyone with these tips, even if it feels like you are about to fall asleep.
Color Correct
Get rid of redness around or under your eyes. Lemon Smooth Affair for Eyes works wonders. Just pat a little bit on your lids. If you have redness below your lower lashline, use the edge Camouflage Brush to blend it. A little goes a very long way. Use the white eye pencil on the inner rims of your lashes to brighten the whole eye. Yellow cancels red, and peach cancels blues and greys. Active-Light Under-Eye Concealer 1 and 2 are perfect for redness under the eyes. You can use Active Light in 3 or 4 if you have blue/gray rings under your eyes. Active light can be used to create “rays” that run from just below the bottom lashline (don’t go too close, or your eyeliner will smear) to the top cheekbone. Take your ring finger and gently rub it in. The warmth from your finger will melt the Active light onto your skin.
More Mascara, Less Liner
Next, use a lot of mascara. Use enough mascara to make your lashes look like they are flying, but not so much that you end up with a cake. A second tip is to be careful with the liner. If you use too much eyeliner along your lower lashline, your eyes will appear smaller and more sleepy. Line your upper lashline to make your eyes look bigger and more awake.
Get a Rosy Glow
If you feel washed out and your blush doesn’t work, then try an In Touch Cream Blush Or, even better, Forever Pink Just Kissed Lip & Cheek Stain. You will look more rested and brighter by applying a subtle pop of color to your cheeks. It can be blended with your fingers or the Foundation Brush. You can also find out more about Blending Brush. Try to get your recommended amount of sleep every day! Our lives are so busy, but our health is always a priority.
